She was built as a dinghy is 1969/70 of 5/8in ply. The spars, foils and sails were purchased the following year from the Rankins (see copy of receipt). Dan has sailed her over the years and is an active member of the Class.
Her main construction / design details are -
- Planking of 5/8 ply with all veneers the same thickness.
- 3 wide bottom boards each side of the hog.
- A dagger board box that is centre line and tied into the mast thwart.
- The alternative solid design thwart knees.
- Full length stringers to support the thwarts ends.
- One of the few dinghies that has a foredeck.
- The aft seating battens retained the concave shape to the front batten edge.
