Dick Gibson advised he bought the punt in 1992 from Michael Barry of Crosshaven. Dick restored and sold her to Clayton Love (junior) in 1994. He in turn sold the punt to Andrew Crosbie. In 2025 the Rankin Dinghy Class secured the punt from Andrew and will convert her to a sailing dinghy in 2026.

Her main construction / design details are -

As R4 but no “box” at the moment!
She has an exaggerated bulbus top to the bresthook.
The thwart knees are made from 8 layers of laminated timber.
