R15
Owner
John Hudson
Provenance
Originally a punt, she was bought by the Class as a project boat in 2018 fron Frank Godsil of Kinsale through the good conections of Conor English. John Hudson bought her early in the conversion cycle and had bronze chain plates fitted. She was initially allocated “R6”. However, over time it became apparent the number was inappropriate for the nuances of the boat, and with the blessing of John she has been renumbered as “R15”. She is very much the sane as R14 🔗. They both had foredecks (unfortunatly R15’s was removed during conversion as it was beyond repair). Both have the alternative thwart knee design and full length risers to support the thwarts and a runner support under the side seats. Both are built of 5/8 ply. The only difference is R15 was built as a punt and R14 was a purpose built dinghy.
